Know Your Water Baja is a small dedicated team passionate about empowering our clients to understand their water resources, and to provide them with the tools to manage clean drinking water for them, their property, their family and guests.
Water Filtration
We offer water filtration system installation, maintenance, and improvements based on your individual usage and needs.
Each visit or project begins with a water test to level set, directly sampled and analyzed by our resident toxicologist and marine biologist.
Along with the analysis, a site survey to understand the property, usage and needs is performed.
Each client is provided with a detailed analysis of the water quality, the recommendations for delivering filtered water to the property, and an estimate for the work to be done. If a client has an existing system and provider, recommendations are given to address with your provider as well.
Our filtration products are uniquely manufactured for us, sourced from trusted sources and distributors in water filtration in Mexico and the U.S.
Our filtration installation projects come with an annual maintenance estimate to help our clients budget for the future, annual notices for when maintenance is due, and on-call assistance should issues arise.
Direct water testing & detailed analysis
Already have a system, just curious about its effectiveness? We take the guessing out of the equation; our resident toxicologist takes a direct sample of your water, tests and provides an analysis within 72 hours of collection. No postage, no waiting.
We test using EPA (Environmental Protection Agency and ASTM (American Society for Testing Methods) parameters and focus on the most common contaminants found in Baja California Sur water sources.
Physical: Salinity, Turbidity, Color, Odor, Taste, TDS
Chemical: pH levels, Acidity, Alkalinity, Hardness, Chlorine, Nitrates / Nitrites, Ammonia
Biological: Bacteria, Algae, Dissolved Oxygen
Test results are delivered with actionable analysis to empower you to use your water with confidence, and with the knowledge to adjust your filtration system accordingly.
Should you already have a filtration provider, you may share the results with them for adjustment, or we provide recommendations and estimates for consideration.
Water usage & grey water planning
There is a lot of talk about the preciousness of water as a consumable resource, though at times we forget to consider the benefits of strategically using your grey water runoff.
What is “grey water”? It’s lightly used wastewater that comes from kitchen and bathroom sinks, showers, bathtubs, dishwashers and washing machines.
However, it can be repurposed into your garden as a valuable source to help it grow to provide shade, privacy and beauty to your property.
Whether you are looking for improvements to an existing property water plan, or looking forward during construction, we offer consultation and implementation for a reasonable grey water plan.
Complimentary plumbing & electric
If your property has auxiliary plumbing or electrical work that needs to be done anew, or repaired, our team is available to quote and perform the work in concert with water filtration, or separately.
